An essential aspect of healing from trauma is learning to self-regulate. Enhance your clinical practice by learning to apply practical skills to help clients self-regulate emotional distress, manage physiological symptoms, experience self-efficacy and build resilience with Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapy®. Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapy® (MBST) is informed by research and incorporates innovations in yoga, mindfulness practice, breath work, hands-on healing modalities, somatic (body-based) interventions and neuroscience. Through this integrated approach, participants will learn to apply skills aim to reduce PTSD-anxiety symptoms, promote mind-body-emotion regulation and integration for optimal personal, relational health and well-being. Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapy® Certificate Training consists of 3 levels; providing a unique experiential learning opportunity for mental health professionals (counsellors, psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists, family therapists etc.), and healing practitioners (body-workers, yoga therapists physiotherapists etc.) working in varying capacities with trauma. Course training are at a post graduate level and designed for experienced professionals interested in incorporating the approach and methods used in Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapy in their practice. Presented as an experiential format, participants will actively experience the benefits of incorporating Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapy into their clinical practice to help clients take a proactive roles in their healing process. All content provided in this training is developed by Ratha Chek. A certificate is provided upon completion of the training. Course hours can be applied towards Continuing Professional Development for the Canadian Counselling an Psychotherapy Association and Social Worker Registration.
